The Student Research and Innovation Pitching Event

The Innovation Pitching competition is a dynamic platform designed to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world application. It challenges students to concisely and persuasively communicate their research, technologies, entrepreneurial concepts, and community interventions to a multidisciplinary audience of academics, industry professionals, and community leaders.

Beyond traditional paper presentations, this segment evaluates projects on their practical feasibility, originality, and potential for commercialization, technology transfer, or societal impact. By welcoming entries at various stages of development—from early proposals to fully developed prototypes and tested software—the pitching event fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and promotes responsible, sustainable innovation tailored to address pressing industry and public-sector needs.
